Grace is currently starting the second year of what was to be a six to nine-month term with the Little Sisters of the Assumption Volunteers. She came to us in early 1999 after her previous volunteer program dissolved, leaving her alone and adrift in New York City. We promptly put Grace in action tutoring the children of some of our clients and working in the Sharing Place Thrift Shop (where she has become an invaluable employee).

A native of Grawn, Michigan, Grace's talents and interests are myriad. She plays the guitar, writes fiction and essays, paint, draws, and composes music. She is currently studying medicine at Hunter College.

So for her commitment to the Sharing Place Thrift Shop and for being such an exemplary LSA Volunteer, Grace gets our Gold Star of the week!
